ShoutOut Community Guidelines

At ShoutOut, we are committed to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and vibrant environment for both our creators and business community. With our community continuing to grow and evolve, it is essential that our guidelines reflect the needs and expectations of our businesses, creators, and influencers.

 

Our community guidelines are designed to ensure a smooth and respectful experience for all parties. By being a member of this community and marketplace, you agree to the following guidelines:

Clear Communication and Expectations

Creators are expected to clearly, professionally, and promptly communicate their availability and expectations when agreeing to collaborations.

Confirmation and Commitment

Creators are encouraged to apply to collaboration opportunities only if they are certain about their availability to effectively fulfill the collaboration (date, time, location, commute, etc.).

Once a commitment is made, creators are expected to honor their agreement and fulfill their obligations related to the campaigns and collaborations.

Creators must ensure their posts remain visible for a minimum duration of 14 days.

Engagement and Followership

Creators are subject to internal ShoutOut reviews based on engagement rates, follower amount, and authenticity. 

The decision on whom to collaborate with ultimately lies within the purview of the brand. Our role is to facilitate connections and provide opportunities, but we do not assume responsibility for the selection of collaborators.

Cancellation Policy

Creators are expected to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel a collaboration due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Any cancellation made with less than 24 hours’ notice may lead to a temporary or permanent hold of the creator’s ShoutOut account.

A pattern of cancellations will result in a review of the creator’s standing on the platform.

No-Show Policy

Creators are expected to show up promptly for scheduled collaborations. In the event of an unavoidable delay or technical issue, timely communication is crucial.

Creators are expected to communicate with the business on any delays or issues regarding their visit or posting date.

No-show incidents without prior communication will lead to the creator’s account being placed on temporary or permanent hold.

Non-Performance and Quality Standards

Creators are responsible for delivering content that meets the expectations and quality standards set by the business. Failure to meet the expectations and quality standards could result in payment being withheld. 

Creation of content that is of poor quality, containing violence, nudity, or any potentially harmful material will result in a temporary or permanent hold on the creator’s ShoutOut account.

Resolution of Disputes

In the case of disputes arising from cancellations, no-shows, or non-performance, both creators and business members are encouraged to reach out to ShoutOut support. ShoutOut will mediate and facilitate discussions to find fair resolutions for all parties involved.

Consequences for Violations

ShoutOut reserves the right to take appropriate actions including warnings, temporary account holds, or permanent holds from the platform, based on the severity and frequency of violations.

Intellectual Property Rights

Creators are expected to ensure their content and campaigns comply with copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Partnership Disclosure

When posting content that is part of a paid partnership through our platform, we encourage the use of the appropriate hashtags such as #Partner or #Ad. If you have any questions or need further guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at  hello@shoutoutcity.com with questions.

Creator Content Usage Rights

Creators grant ShoutOut the right to use, reproduce, distribute, and modify their content for promotion and marketing purposes. Any exclusivity agreements must be clearly communicated and agreed upon by both the ShoutOut and the business.

Duration may range from temporary usage rights for a single campaign to perpetual rights for ongoing use.

Business Communications

Any communication conducted outside of the ShoutOut app is beyond our purview and not within our responsibility.

We advise creators to obtain all tracking and shipping information for any packages sent by a business or brand through the app. Any missing or lost packages must be handled through the shipping carrier.

Continuous Improvement

ShoutOut is committed to continuously improving its platform and user experience. We welcome feedback from both creators and community members on how we can enhance our policies and processes. Please reach out to us at hello@shoutoutcity.com.

The Creator On-Hold Policy

This policy is implemented to ensure that creators on the ShoutOut platform maintain active, responsive, and reliable engagement with businesses.

Reasons for an account being placed on hold include, but are not limited to:

  • Failure to complete a collaboration
  • Lack of professionalism
  • Unresponsiveness to business and ShoutOut team inquiries
  • Decline in engagement and followership

This policy aims to maintain the professionalism and integrity of the ShoutOut community, fostering positive and productive collaborations between creators and businesses.

Business Etiquette

Refund Policy: 

  • Refunds are only issued to the business in the case that the creator does not meet listed requirements, the creator does not post, or the business cancels an order or campaign prior to the collaboration happening.
  • Monthly subscriptions are unable to be refunded. If a business is interested in canceling their subscription, the business must reach out to their Account Representative. 

Usage Rights:

  • At ShoutOut, we own all content created on our platform. If a business wishes to use a creator’s content for an ad, they must obtain usage rights from the creator. To facilitate this process, businesses can contact a member of our team through ShoutOut at hello@shoutoutcity.com. Our team will work with the creator to determine the appropriate whitelisting rates for the usage of their content in the ad. All communication regarding content usage rights can be conducted through ShoutOut to ensure transparency and accountability.
